The Mac Tablet rumor, been going around for a couple of month now, however signs of some truth are starting to come around. Recently Apple has filed patents that have led the public to believe that a release is imminent. So what will it look like, what will it feature, specs, all that are mere speculations at this point in time. But I’m sure one can draw conclusions based on their target audience, it’s gonna make a world of a difference if Apple is targeting pro designers or casual mobility user.

For casual users, or more like netbook users, who demand long battery life 10 hours+, should be very light 1kG, excellent connectivity wifi + 3G, HDMI for movies, affordable price, etc..

For Pro Designers, who are into animations, and graphical design in general they use tablets such as Wacom to draw digitally. Having a tablet means you can draw on the screen much like drawing on paper. This is already present, it’s called a Modbook by a company called Axiotron, you basically buy a normal Mac Book and then axiotron “mods” it for you resulting in a “ModBook” now you have a Mac Tablet.

Personally I don’t think that this is what Apple will be expected to launch. If one looks at trends you will see now that Apple is going for a more mass effect products, like iPod, like iPhone so it only makes sense that the Mac Tablet will be for more casual users. So now on to the rumor images, I love how everyone makes graphical designs of their expectations Continue reading »

Being a proud iPhone owner let me just say the Apple iPhone is a revolutionary device, that has made all other mobile phone manufacturers (HTC, Motorola, Nokia) play catch up. Apple wasn’t even in the smartphone industry, stunning all the big players, just like they weren’t in the portable music industry, and stunning all with the iPod.

Now with the Motorola Droid, HTC Hero, and more recently the Nexus One (Google phone running new Android OS) some iPhone owners are thinking of switching. Why? Continue reading »

ndrive_logoYet another GPS app with the infamous Cairo map from Teleatlas. But what is unique here is that it’s the first good one on the app store for Egypt. One should not expect the same quality as European maps, Egypt has just entered the GPS market as of late, due to the government ban. Many GPS fans will be happy with this new app, others not so much. Nevertheless it’s a decent application one worth buying if you’re a GPS person. The price is steep for an app, the Ndrive will set you back EGP 385 ($70). Although using your iPhone as a GPS is a different story, you might want to consider an independent GPS hardware, like Garmin etc… Continue reading »

Facebook App for me was a great app unfortunately it had many shortcomings such as no events to find out when your friends’ birthdays are, now with Facebook 3.0 they have been listening and it’s all there. In my opinion it’s been quite stable, it’s a feature rich and brilliant usability. Continue reading »

Hello mates,

So I’ve seen you guys talking about editing you APN settings and how to enable it, modify it, etc.

I thought of sharing this with you as you guys always came up with new and creative stuff that I’ve always liked!

So heres the thing..iPhone keeps everything about your operator in specific location, then if you can find the file, open it, you will be able to customize it as you wish!

I am a Mac, so I will be talking from this concept, You need: Continue reading »

The Problem

This issue of 3G and Edge not working right away has been there for ages; however, the remedy was easy as we just needed to update the APN settings found in Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network. Then there was the 2.x updates that screwed that up too, as they had this option hidden so that the settings are no longer editable, but then again we’d simply download a package called APN Editing package from cydia, and there it is back where it belonged. Finally, with the 3.0 firmware update, even that doesn’t work, and there’s noway to find Cellular Data Network editable unless the carrier allows it, Continue reading »
