When I found out that Apple would be releasing the iPad, I got pretty excited and decided I would most likely buy one. I could already imagine where and how I would use it. However, I was torn over whether I should go for the 3G or non-3G (WiFi only) model.

After some research, I came across the iGo application for the iphone. Well, it doesnt have all the features that the Ndrive or Tomtom offer. However, it does the job!

Being a proud iPhone owner let me just say the Apple iPhone is a revolutionary device, that has made all other mobile phone manufacturers (HTC, Motorola, Nokia) play catch up. Yet another GPS app with the infamous Cairo map from Teleatlas. But what is unique here is that it’s the first good one on the app store for Egypt. One should not expect the same quality as European maps, Egypt has just entered the GPS market as of late, due to the government ban. Many GPS fans will be happy with this new app, others not so much. Nevertheless it’s a decent application one worth buying if you’re a GPS person. The price is steep for an app, Ndrive Egypt will set you back EGP 385 ($70). Freeware
- Free: Means totally free to use, usually without even Ads
- Lite: Another term for “Demo” , and it means that you can try some or all options but probably for a limited time or less features, or with Ads…
Shareware
- Those are paid applications that you can’t even try before buying
It will also be mentioned whether the alleged application can be found on Cydia or AppStore…
