NB. this only applies to Mobinil users.
First, download this carrier update and then type this into the Terminal.
"defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE"
Finally, start up iTunes and option-click the Restore button and select the ipcc file.
Once the update is complete you’ll see Internet Tethering under your network settings.
“What is tethering? “
Basically it’s a way to connect your laptop to the internet via your iPhone (acting as a modem)

first make sure that you entered ” mobinilweb” in the APN field and the rest is blank and after you generate the profile file and install it you will have to restart the iphone by pressing the on/off button simultaeously with the home button , then it should work . it is working with me , if you have other profiles installed remove them from setting —–> general ——> profile .

Guys for mobinil mms you just do like rimoun Says and the open the cellular data network and change mms to mobinil mms now mobinilweb ..

Hi everybody,
For Vodafone users, please follow these steps in order to enable Tethering and MMS:
1- Remove any profile on your Iphone
2- Install the Tethering enable profile (http://www.iphone-notes.de/mobileconfig/)
3- Reboot
4- Enable the tethering( Settings >> General >> Network tethering enable )
5- Install this profile (please contact me on shaliaziznew@hotmail.com to send u the profile )

When i tried to download the carrier update it says DNS error. so what about help.benm.at i found this website which you open it on your iphone but their is no egypt but you can generate your own file but it asks me about VPN username and password for carrier
