Yet another GPS app with the infamous Cairo map from Teleatlas. But what is unique here is that it’s the first good one on the app store for Egypt. One should not expect the same quality as European maps, Egypt has just entered the GPS market as of late, due to the government ban. Many GPS fans will be happy with this new app, others not so much. Nevertheless it’s a decent application one worth buying if you’re a GPS person. The price is steep for an app, Ndrive Egypt will set you back EGP 385 ($70). Although using your iPhone as a GPS is a different story, you might want to consider an independent GPS hardware, like Garmin etc…
As far as the features are concerned Ndrive Egypt comes packed with all the features you’ve come to expect from a GPS navigator.
Zooming, Tilting&Rotating, Panning, Arabic, Usable Menu Interface, Map appearance options, Routing, Traffic, Safety Options, Find/Navigate via search or Adventure mode, Save places to your “My NDrive account”, manage Favorites/Itenaries
I particularly liked the 3D landmark view, where you can see things like hotels, popular buildings etc… the point is that you wouldn’t miss it if you knew what it looked like.

Too expensive. I am looking for a simple application which can help to locate places near me (Gas Stations, ATM, …)
I’ve tried “AroundMe” but their Cairo database is very poor.
Any suggestions?

It is good but after a month with it and many tests on the road I have find a problem.
Many often lost the signal (yellow color) and for moments it looks wrong destination.
If happens that the moment you need to tern at a road you don’t know and you have not see before maybe you take wrong way.
An other one, I was before 3 days in City Star. When I left the parking lock signal and ask me to tern back the hand after 100 metres.
I follow the instructions but just after some moments I understand that didn’t move the cursor.
Was stopped. I was lucky because I know to find Nasr Street so I didn’t make a mistake.
I am not sure if problem it is 100% from the NDrive or because of the signal problems from police or military, because many times has very bad signal at places very open (no closed from buildings) like 6th October Bridge.
I use jps 2 years now in Egypt and I have to lost the signal without reason many times.
Of course with iGO May Way I had less problems but iGO for Egypt it is a cooked program from the moment Nav n Go hasn’t version for Egypt.
