Many people rushed to get hold of the long awaited iPhone as soon as it was launched. Those people paid full price and subscribed to the obligatory plans enforced, and instead of getting the privileges of early supporters, they were shocked to find out that they were fooled into paying full price to a gadget that could be bought for much less or even no money at all through the alleged Point System that Vodafone employs should they have waited.
As loyal customers with existing points and equal privileges to the point system, and as pioneers on paying for iPhones through Vodafone’s plans, we thereby protest and request some sort of beneficial arrangement that compensates for our loss. This compensation could either be in the form of cash refunds, equivalent points to benefit in other available offers, or other financial means related to the monthly plan.
Reference to a similar situation in the United States, when people rushed into buying the first generation phones and then learnt that the price fell from its initial $599 to $399, Apple decided to give each iPhone holder a cash refund. Nonetheless, the company is a firm believer in subsidizing its product; therefore, this new arrangement must be treated with the same retrospect to which Apple handles its marketing and sales schemes.
This petition is signed by only a sample of the latter iPhone buyers, but we plan to reach many more until we get a fair and satisfactory resolution to our problem, and that, does not include apologetic sales people with memorized solutions.
Please do the right things and follow Apple’s example after reading it’s reply to it’s “early customers” to whom they are obliged to “take care” for.

Sincerely,
Vodafone loyal customers, awaiting the VIP treatment we deserve.

@ iLeito
I bought my iPhone from Vodafone and paid 3,800 EGP, few days later I was checking the Vodafone IVR service to check for the iPhone internet plan, and discovered that I can get 20% in cash if I have 1000 points or more, and will get 1000 on monthly basis for 18 month.
The good thing that I went back after few days to the Vodafone shop asking for the discount, they refused intialy, however after one hour of negotiations I mananged to get the discount
I’ve discovered that the internet plan is free for the first 3 months
however this offer might be expired now.
Mobinil will give you 50% discount in cash if you have 22,000 points or more.
Enjoy iPhoning ….
