I’ve been Unlocking, Jailbreaking, and upgrading since day one (when we had to pay so much money just to update). I’ve gained so much knowledge using SIM FREE, Liberty, Liberty+, Ziphone, Independence, Pwnage Tool, and Quick Pawn.
Any questions, thoughts, or concerns about updates, your phone crashing, not turning on, stuck, etc…just connect with me.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello

I’m thinking of starting an iPhone development project which might lead to a startup company. Thinking of Apps that would directly interest the Egyptian / Arabian market (iPhone SDK 3.0 supports internationalization).

Of course always interested in more information about Apple products and communicating with peers.

    Regards

Hi everyone. I guess I’m the newbie here. I won’t keep repeating what I wrote in the Log In thread, but I do look forward to moving to Egypt from Texas. I am very happy to find a user group like this. Initially I’ll want to ask a lot of questions and seek help as I transition my iPhone from the US to Egypt. I would appreciate any advice about which cell phone company to use, whether or not I need to unlock my iPhone, and should I buy the new iPhone 3G S in the US or wait until I get to Egypt. Best regards.

Hi there, i m Sherif Hashem and i m a lecturer of neurosurgery at faculty of medicine ain shams university. i m a real apple products fan so i had a macbook 13 inch unibody and also i had an iphone 3G since mid january and it was unlocked by YS till i locked it by the new FW 2.2.1 BB 2.30.03 just the same day i got it, so i managed to get it back working via a turbosim then i decided to know every damn thing about jailbreaking and unlocking, thanks to the dev team blog where i actively share daily, i ve jailbroken and unlocked more than 40 iphones of my friends and family members, i ve dealt with most of the probs of qwkpwn, pwnage tools, bootneuteur, yellowsn0w and the newely amazing couple redsn0w and Ultrasn0w……. anyone wants help????

    @ sherif hashim

Do u have any clue why after i unlocked my mobinil iphone with yellow sn0w on 2.2 it used to randomly go into flight mode first for a little time then for alot until completely blocked… mobinil said this is a feature they have installed that detects unlocked iphones and does this… is this true and also what are the solutions to my problem??
    thanx.

  15. 90. sherif_hashimNo Gravatar Says:

    @ sicobiso

of coarse no man, mobinil has nothing to do with this at all, they even can’t block the turbosim that fakes the IMEI of the phone and send wrong registration data to their network so how would they block soft unlock of the phone done via a payload injected to the baseband that overwrites the lock data, and even if they tried, they should have the phone to do it, not over the gsm network!!!
The fact that i m pretty sure that u were using yellowsn0w 0.9.7 or 0.9.8, which the dev’s tried to get over the issue occurring when the phone hangs or crash for any reason, u have to pullout the sim and reinsert back or toggle the airoplane mode on for 1 min then back off, they tried to make yellowsn0w does the toggling automatically when it feels sudden drop of the signal of more than 2-3 bars, and hence this messed up with some phones causing ur issue, if u used 0.9.4 or 0.9.6 which i hear to be the most stable u had had overcome the prob, anyway u may now use ultrasn0w on 3.0 and u are good to go.
