Hello mates,

So I’ve seen you guys talking about editing you APN settings and how to enable it, modify it, etc.

I thought of sharing this with you as you guys always came up with new and creative stuff that I’ve always liked!

So heres the thing..iPhone keeps everything about your operator in specific location, then if you can find the file, open it, you will be able to customize it as you wish!

The Problem

This issue of 3G and Edge not working right away has been there for ages; however, the remedy was easy as we just needed to update the APN settings found in Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network. Then there was the 2.x updates that screwed that up too, as they had this option hidden so that the settings are no longer editable, but then again we’d simply download a package called APN Editing package from cydia, and there it is back where it belonged. Finally, with the 3.0 firmware update, even that doesn’t work, and there’s noway to find Cellular Data Network editable unless the carrier allows it, Continue reading »

*update* if you don’t want to jailbreak then open safari from your iPhone and go to http://unlockit.co.nz

If 3G or Edge is not working it means that the APN Settings are probably not updated to match your service provider’s. Some Vodafone users will have trouble setting those APN settings because most of the time firmwares 2.x.x have this option hidden presuming that 3G settings are preset by service providers.
